In 1971, Intergro was founded on the idea of selling a new technology to row crop vegetable growers known as mulch film and we have been doing it ever since. We offer a full line of films for almost every climate, and circumstance.
Standard Mulches- Our line of standard mulches comes from Hilex Poly, LLC. Intergro is the exclusive representative for Hilex in most of the southeast, Florida and Latin America. Hilex is one of the most widely used plastics in the world. As the only high density mulch film made in the Americas, Hilex can offer stronger films at lower gauges resulting in longer rolls for maximum efficiency in the field and less disposal costs at the end of the crop. Hilex film is embossed and they can make just about any width up to 72” in black or co-extruded white/black.
Metalized Mulches- Intergro has been selling metalized films since 1997. We were the first to recognize their extraordinary vapor barrier qualities and we proved in conjunction with the University of Florida that the rate of methyl bromide can be drastically reduced in conjunction with this film. We are the exclusive dealer for Canslit Vaporshield Films. Canslit is the ONLY manufacturer who extrudes their own film and performs their own metalizing under the same roof. All other metalized mulches are made by two different companies, usually hundreds of miles apart. That allows Canslit to control quality better than anyone else in the business and it shows in their product.
VIF- Intergro is also the leader in VIF or Virtually Impermeable Films. VIF are multi-layer films that rely on a layer of nylon to provide the barrier properties. This very high tech class of films can achieve the highest level of barrier of any film. The problem is that the nylon layer has always created problems in the laying of the film in the field. In conjunction with our manufacturer, Hyplast, using seven layer extrusion, we have created a film, Hytibar7, with superior barrier properties and excellent laying characteristics. These films can be made in almost any color with a wide range of widths.
